Gluten Free Indian Sweets: Which of Ours Are Wheat Free?
Looking for Indian sweets without wheat? Four of our traditional winter paks are made without any wheat, semolina or plain flour. Each one is made fresh to order in our UK kitchen and delivered across the UK.
Our gluten free Indian sweets
- Adadiya Pak: a warming winter fudge of urad dal, gram flour, milk, ghee, almonds and pistachios.
- Methi Pak: gram flour, ghee, almonds, pistachios and fenugreek, a traditional winter tonic sweet.
- Magaj: a Gujarati gram flour sweet made with ghee, milk, almonds and pistachio.
- Gundar Pak: edible gum, cashews, almonds, poppy seeds, dates, coconut and jaggery, set with pure ghee. It has no flour at all.
What is not gluten free
Our biscuits, Nankhatai, Coconut Pinwheels, Meethi Roti, Gulab Jamun and Panjiri (which contains semolina) all contain wheat, so they are not suitable for a gluten free diet.
An honest note on allergies
Everything is made in one home kitchen that also handles wheat, nuts, eggs and milk. The four sweets above contain no gluten ingredients, but we cannot promise there is no trace of wheat. If you have coeliac disease or a severe allergy, please message us before you order. Most of these sweets contain nuts and milk, and none are vegan because we cook with pure ghee.
